LINCOLN, Neb. -- Coach Pelini has been getting a lot of attention in the state since he was named head coach of the University of Nebraska football team.

KETV NewsWatch 7's Matt Schick sat down with Carl Pelini about the family success at UNL.

The Husker Defense Coordinator told Schick it's time for the attention to shift on his brother.

"People just need to understand that it's not just about me... It's about the kids. I'm not the only one coaching this defense. Bo is coaching it, too. He needs some of the credit. He deserves it," said Pelini.

"I feel Bo has gotten a lot of the attention, those t-shirts, 'Bo-lievers, and "Bo Big Red.' I've seen those. They're all over the place," said Schick.

Pelini told Schick he had some of the original ideas behind those shirts such as 'Carl Big Big Red', 'My Carlfriend's Back', 'In Carl We Trust', 'Carl Knows Defense' and 'Carlfense'.

Pelini said that having them make the t-shirts about the head coach was just a way to give his baby brother a taste of the limelight.

"You know its funny, when Coach Pelini was named the new head coach at Nebraska my cell phone rang off the hook. They thought I got the job," said Carl Pelini.

"Sure they weren't calling you to get Bo's cell phone number?" asked Schick.

"I don't think so," replied Pelini.
