OMAHA, Neb. -- One child died and another was injured during the past two weeks because they weren't properly restrained in moving vehicles, according to Omaha Police.

So 7 Can Help Kids has teamed up with the National Safety Council and Kohl's to host a free child safety seat check.

Dozens of experts will be on hand to check your child's safety seat. They'll determine if it's properly installed and, if not, fix it for you.

The safety check takes place Saturday, Aug. 9, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at Kohl's at 8909 S. 71st St.
