A flood warning continued along the Missouri River from Nebraska City to Rulo.

The rivers have started to return to their banks throughout Nebraska and cleanup is well under way.

Emergency management officials were touring Nebraska on Monday to survey damage by the flooding.

They assessed damages in McCook, Lexington, Kearney, Columbus, Schuyler and the Gage County area, while cleanup continued in Platte Center and Schuyler.

Public buildings and two local parks were damaged in Platte Center and nearly 50 homes were damaged.

In Schuyler, 250 homes were damaged mostly by floodwaters. The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services also sent a team to help test water safety in private wells.
