OMAHA, Neb. -- A Bellevue infant was taken to a hospital Tuesday night after police said the child suffered injuries consistent with shaken baby syndrome.

Officers were called to the area of 27th and Kansas streets just after 8 p.m. and found a 5-month-old baby that wasn't breathing. The baby was taken to Creighton University Medical Center in critical condition.

The infant's father, Marco Martinez, 20, was arrested on charges of felony child abuse resulting in serious bodily injury.
