The Henry Doorly Zoo announced two newly discovered animals.

Over the past three years, the Madagascar Biodiversity and Biogeography Project of the zoo has named 18 new lemur species. A week ago, the two newest were named. They are the Scott's Sportive Lemur and the Moore's Wooly Lemur.

They were found in the rainforests of Masoala National Park in Madagascar and are now part of the zoo family in Omaha.

Both Moore's and the Scott's lemurs are named for families who lead conservation efforts around the world.
