Display Starts After Royals Game

OMAHA, Neb. -- Wires, switches and triggers are in place for Tuesday night's fireworks show at Rosenblatt Stadium.It's the 23rd year for the fireworks show that is sponsored by the Omaha World Herald. The 22-minute show by Grucci will begin after the Omaha Royals game against the Oklahoma Redhawks.Stadium gates open at 4 p.m., and the first pitch is at 6:05 p.m. Tickets are still available for the game.
Music will be simulcast on 104.5 FM.Shuttle service will be starting at 3:45 p.m. from both Oakview and Westroads malls. Roundtrip fare is $3.Other shows around the metro include Ralston's Independence Day celebration at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. The parade is at 1 p.m. Wednesday and will start at 80th and Q streets. Fireworks will be at dusk at the Lakeview Golf Course.On Wednesday in Lincoln, there will be an Uncle Sam Jam at Oak Lake Park. Fireworks will begin at 9:22 p.m.Seward, Neb., begins its celebration Wednesday morning with a run and breakfast. A parade begins at 4 p.m., and the party goes until 10 p.m. when the fireworks show begins.
