UPDATED: 11:31 am CST February 26, 2007

Some residents in northeast Nebraska remain under a flood warning Monday as ice jams on the Elkhorn River persist.

The National Weather Service has issued a flooding warning for Cuming and Dodge counties until 7:45 p.m. Monday.

On Sunday, ice jams remained in place on the Elkhorn River, with one between Wisner and Beemer and the other jam close to the Cuming-Dodge County line near Crowell.

The situation was being examined again Monday, but a slow improvement is expected in the next day or two.

Parts if Highway 275 near West Point remained closed by floodwaters.
